Youth Services Providers

The Workforce Investment Board has contracted with C.O.A.T.E.S. to provide youth services to both Out-of-School Youth and In-School Youth through the Youth Program. Youth services are provided through the eight counties of the region. The contract requires the provisions of year-round youth activities to include a summer youth component.

Services provided through the Youth Program Include:

   
Tutoring
Alternative secondary school offerings
Summer employment opportunities
Paid and unpaid work experiences
Occupational skill training
Leadership development opportunities
Supportive services
Adult mentoring
Follow-up services
Comprehensive guidance and counseling
 

The contracted provider coordinates the delivery of the above services by referring eligible youth to multiple youth agencies located throughout the region.

The Workforce Investment Board realizes that today's youth is tomorrow's future and takes seriously its responsibility to provide equip youth, especially the area's at-risk youth, with the necessary resources to develop into responsible and productive citizens.
